Gardening Volunteer – Downend
Downend
Voluntary
We are looking for a volunteer who loves gardening to help landscape and maintain the garden in one of our residential homes in Downend. There is a person we support who lives in the home that would like to eventually help with gardening tasks.
Can you help?
If you are a hands-on person and are looking to make a difference by utilising your skills this would be a great opportunity for you, and we would really appreciate your help. Tasks will include planning out where to put beds for flowers and a potential veg patch, as well as planting with some of the people we support.
The role would ideally be one day fortnightly or monthly depending what you are working on and what needs doing, and the day can be flexible to suit you. We can cover travel expenses and will liaise about what gardening tools and materials are needed.
For all our volunteer roles a DBS check will be carried out and two references will be taken up. All volunteers can attend a volunteer induction and will be supported by both the volunteer team and a member of staff in the service too.
Please get in touch if you are interested in this role and would like to receive a volunteer application form (standard or easy read). If filling out forms aren’t for you, please give us a call and we can take down your details.
