Expressions is a year-long program of creative events that works across Milestones Trust and culminates in a summer exhibition and festival that is open to the public. The focus for Expressions has always been to make the arts accessible, interactive and a source of well-being. They run an art group for the people that Milestones Trust support every week on Tuesday and Wednesday morning at their studio, located at the Milestones Trust Head Office in Staple Hill.
We are looking for enthusiastic people who have a keen interest in engaging with art, enjoy interacting with the people we support, are patient and who have a positive and helpful attitude.
Can you help?
We are looking for volunteers who are compassionate and patient with good social skills. Ideally this would be a minimum 3-month placement, volunteering weekly or as often as volunteers are able to commit. We provide a thorough induction and support volunteers throughout their role.
We can cover travel and some activity expenses.
For all our volunteer roles a DBS check will be carried out and we will request two references. All volunteers can attend an in-person volunteer induction and we offer online training alongside this. You will be supported by both the volunteer team and a member of staff in the service too.
